Encontro com José Ruy e visita à Amadora BD 2017 / Meeting with José Ruy and visit to Amadora BD 2017

No dia 12 de Novembro, fui visitar o meu amigo José Ruy, (link #2), (link#3) conceituado artista na área da História em Quadrinhos/BD Portuguesa e que tem o mais longo historial de produção contínua na 9ª Arte nacional.
O encontro foi na Amadora, almoçamos juntos e depois fomos visitar o Amadora BD 2017.
O José Ruy fez-me uma visita guiada em que me mostrou a sua presença na Galeria dos Ilustres no Teto da Biblioteca do Rui Pimentel, famoso cartunista português.
Também me mostrou a sua imagem mestriamente desenhada por Nuno Saraiva (link #2) e que figura no cartaz deste ano do Amadora BD.

Além de pormos as conversas em dia, foi-me incumbida a grata missão de lhe entregar o Álbum Zodiako do grande artista português que fez a maior parte da sua brilhante carreira no Brasil, Jayme Cortez, (link#2) que me foi ofertada pelo curador do seu acervo no Brasil, Fábio Moraes.
José Ruy e Jayme Cortez começaram ambos no jornal "O Mosquito", onde também trabalhou o Mestre, Eduardo Teixeira Coelho, o ETC), que depois também emigrou e que fez carreira em França.

Este foi mais um passo de uma ideia que anda a germinar desde há algum tempo e que se Deus quiser, terá pernas para andar.

On November 12, I visited my friend José Ruy, (link # 2), (link # 3) a renowned artist in the area of ​​Comics / BD Portuguesa and who has the longest record of continuous production in the 9th National Art .
The meeting was in Amadora, we had lunch together and then we went to visit the Amadora BD 2017.
José Ruy gave me a guided tour in which he showed me his presence in the Gallery of Illustrious People on the Ceiling of the Library of Rui Pimentel, famous Portuguese cartoonist.
He also showed me his image masterfully designed by Nuno Saraiva (link # 2) and featured in this year's poster of Amadora BD.

In addition to the talks, I was grateful to have the Zodiako Album of the great Portuguese artist who made the most of his brilliant career in Brazil, Jayme Cortez, (link # 2) given to me by curator of his collection in Brazil, Fábio Moraes.
José Ruy and Jayme Cortez started both in the newspaper "The Mosquito", where he also worked the Master, Eduardo Teixeira Coelho, the ETC), who later also emigrated and made a career in France.
